Diplomatic Relations established between the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau (8-3-2023)

The Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, desirous of establishing friendly ties and cooperation guided by the principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations and the norms of International Law in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, have established diplomatic relations at the level of Ambassadors with effect from 6 March 2023.

The Interactive Dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Myanmar was held on 20 March 2023 at the ongoing 52nd session of the Human Rights Council with no representation of the country-concerned which is contrary to the fundamental principles of the Human Right Council.
